ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Catholic Church has barred sex predator Father Anthony Oelrich from the priesthoof forever. Bishop Donald Kettler said that he now has completed his review of the case and that the laicization process has been completed. Oelrich pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct in 2019 for sex with a female parishioner. The woman told police that she had sought spiritual guidance and was manipulated into intercourse. At the time Oelrich was at the Newman Center for students at Sr. Cloud State University.
Oelrich. Now out of prison after serving two years of a 3-1/2 year sentence for third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
