ST. PAUL, Minn. – The latest Minnesota jobs report shows a record demand for worker to fill vacancies. At the end of last year 214,000. Jobs were available — up 68% from a year earlier. The previous year-end high in history was 56% in 2018. Another way to out it is that the number of unemployed people continues to decline. The data, from the state Economic Development and Development Department, said that fewer than 93,000 workers were unemployed in the final three months of 2021. That equates to 0.6% for each job vacancy — the lowest the ratio has ever been.
