ST. PAUL, Minn. – The state keeps outdoing itself financially. The Minnesota Budget Office reported finishing the first quarter of its fiscal year with $289 million more revenue than forecast. That was 4.3% above predictions. The breakdown by revenue categories:
> Individual income tax: $3.7 billion, up 0.2%.
> Sales tax: 146 million, up 7.6%.
> Corporate tax: $110 million, up 19%.
