WINONA, Minn. – The continuing enrollment loss at Winona public schools has eased.  The five schools reported 2,424 students this fall — down 59. The year before the loss was 104. The drop has been attributed to stagnant population growth in the area, smaller families, and competition from charter schools. The future: Kindergarten enrollments are off 50.
