ST.PAUL, Minn.— The state Department of Agriculture is doubling down against gypsy moths in the remote Pier Ridge forest in New Hartford Township in extreme southeast Winona County. There will be a second round of aerial spraying beginning at 5:15 a.m., Wednesday. The spraying will be on the same 1,140-acre tract as last Saturday. The pilot will make repeated sweeps for about two hours.
Contract sprayer. The single-engine agricultural spray plane is manufactured by Air Tractor of Olney, Texas.
