WASHINGTON – Everybody in Minnesota knows about Iowa drivers. That’s why it says “Iowa” on the license plates. It’s a warning: Idiots Out Wandering Around. But, hey, Minnesotans, don’t be so smug. The consumer finance site WalletHub.com has ranked the best states to drive in – and the worst. The top four and their scores:
> Texas, 62.89.
> Indiana, 62.17.
> North Carolina, 61.84.
> Iowa, 61.82.
Minnesota was, well, 34th at 55.22. True to its name, WalletHub ranked states partly by the effect of driving on consumer finances. Other criteria included traffic, infrastructure, and access to service. So, where not to drive: Hawaii was 50th at 36.42.
