WINONA, Minn. – Federal Co-Vid relief funds will help Southeast Tech students afford to come back, said Chad Dull, the college’s chief academic officer. Tech is expecting somewhere around $1 million. In an interview on KWNO radio, Dull acknowledged some uncertainty about rules on using the money but expressed confidence that some will go to help students stayed enrolled. “We that students who drop out, the odds of them coming back are pretty low,” Dull said. Tech’s enrollment: 1,200. Dull noted that Tech, like all public colleges, has taken on significant expenses to deal with CoVid and at the same time taken enrollment hits that hurt enrollment-based state budget support.
