ROCHESTER, Minn. – Is it the adrenaline rush? Who knows, but a Wykoff man, Brian Rathbun, 55, formerly of Lewiston, seems to take joy in police chases. He was sentenced in Olmsted County Court to five years in prison — his fifth conviction for chases in Olmsted, Fillmore and Wabasha counties dating back to 2019. The most recent chase ended at Willow Creek Campground near the 5500 bock of Highway 63 south of Rochester in October. Police trapped Rathbun by blocking the only entrance and exit to the campground. The chase had begun in Wabasha County.
