WINONA, Minn. – Teachers already are suffering their traditional March Fatigue and they’re into only the first six weeks of the school year, the Winona teachers union president said. In a report to the School Board, Linda Pfeilsticker said the switch to a hybrid online-classroom model in response to the CIVID pandemic has taken a toll. She cited a long stretch without breaks. “We have folks that are really worn out. Some folks that I am very worried about. I’m also very proud at the same time of the work they’re doing,” said Pfeilsticker. She called on board members to look for ways to make hybrid teaching ‘more manageable and sustainable.”
