ST.CHARLES, Minn. – Three pickup trucks collided on U.S. Highway 14 east of St, Charles, sending one passenger, a 13-year-old boy, to a Rochester hospital 27 miles away. The boy’s injuries appeared none-life threatening, a Winona County deputy said. The accident was about 11:45 a.m. Deputies said this was the sequence of what happened: A pickup driven by Dale William Hinckley, 71, of Chatfield, had stopped to make a left turn. A second pickup, driven Carter Joshua Burt, 18, of Utica, stopped behind Hinckley. A third pickup, driven by Lucas Hunter Mulhern, 18, of Preston, struck the second vehicle and bumped it into the first vehicle. The inured boy was in Mulhern’s vehicle, A second boy, age 12 was unhurt.
