WOODBURY, Minn. — A 14-year-old boy, Demaris Nathan Hobbs-Ekdahl, was killed by drive-by shooters at a college graduation yard party in this east St. Paul suburb. Witnesses reported hearing 30 or so rounds from a white SUV and a dark SUV or truck. About 40 people were at the party. The Ekdahl boy, who had just finished his freshman year at Tartan High School in Oakdale, was at the party with an older brother, police said.  Several homes were struck by gunfire. The shooting was about 10:45 p.m. in the 6100 block of Edgewood Avenue.
