WINONA, Minn. – At Winona Middle School, social studies teachers Stacy Gobler and Rose Carr encouraged students to express their individual feelings about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Students tracked war news. Then, moved by the horrible destruction, they did an exercise with editorial cartoons to espouse their opinions.
