WINONA, Minn. – A 2-year-old child survived a fall from a third floor window at an apartment house on the 1,100 block of Sugar Loaf Road. The child was hospitalized but showed no signs of trauma. The fall, about 20 feet, was cushioned by a pile of melting snow, police said. The little girl was playing near a partially open window when she fell out, police said. Her mother called police. The accident happened Thursday afternoon.
