FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The remaining Republican primary candidate for attorney general, Eric Toner, had kind words fpr Ryan Owens, who has withdrawn from the race. Toner called Owens a worthy opponent. “Ryan Owens helped focus the debate on what matters — fighting crime and putting violent criminals in prison for a very long time.” In an online post,Toney, who is the attorney for Fond du Lac County, invited Owens supporters to switch to his campaign. Owens, a law professor, withdrew last week amid complaints that he wasn’t sufficiently loyal to ex-President Trump.
