TAOPI, Minn. – With 44 people and 22 houses, this village near the Iowa border was hardly a metropolis. Now it’s less so. Town Clerk Jim Kiefer said that 10 of Taopi’s 22 homes are beyond repair after an EF2 tornado. The good news: Mist people were sheltered in their basement shelters. The only injuries were non-life threatening.
