BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Snowblower manufacturer Toro recalled 8,700 blowers out of concern that users could lose an arm. At issue: Toro Power Max 826 OHAE snowthrowers with Model Number 37802. The company said the auger can fail to disengage when the control lever is released, posing an amputation hazard. The units were sold for around $1,200 at numerous outlets, including Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Toro dealers, beginning in November.
