WINONA, Minn. – Sexual misdeed proceedings against high school track coach Eric Birth have been extended to January at his attorney’s request. Judge Nancy Buytendorp scheduled a pre-trial hearing for January 21 and the trial for January 26. The delay gives Birth’s attorney almost five months to assess a raft of new charges that Birth exposed himself sexually to girls on his track team. In at least one case he is alleged to have punished an athlete for not going along.
