ROCHESTER, Minn. — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Winona-bound freight train just north of downtown Rochester. Police declined to release the man’s name immediately but said he was 26 and from Rochester. The accident was about 11:30 p.m. on North Broadway and Civic Center Drive. The Canadian Pacific freight had originated at Tracy in extreme southwest Minnesota.
