BROCKWAY, Wis. – The driver escaped from the cab of his truck when it crashed in a construction zone on Interstate 94 before dawn. The rig caught fire. The driver, Ahmad Reynolds, 48, of Shoreview, Minnesota, was hurt, but his injuries were described as non-life threatening. The accident shut down both east-bound and west-bound lanes of I-94, a major transcontinental route to the West Coast. Reynolds’ tractor failed to negotiate a transition into the construction zone Jackson County deputies said. The second of two trailers detached and overturned into the westbound median shoulder. The tractor and front trailer came rest in the eastbound lanes.
