OWATONNA, Minn. – Intense winds associated with thunderstorms blew several semi-trucks off the Intestate 35 right-of-way on a 15-mile stretch from Owatonna to Faribault. Some left the pavement. Others crashed into each other. There were jackknives. The State Patrol counted nine incidents on the open and mostly straight section. No serious injuries were reported. Northbound lanes were blocked intermittently for heavy-duty wreckers to right the tractor-trailers.
