ROCHESTER, Minn. – President Trump proclaimed that Minnesota will go Republican on November 3 and re-elect him. It’ll he historic, he said, noting that the sate has voted Democratic on the presidency since 1972 with Richard Nixon – but, he said, not now: “Four days from now we’re going to win.” At an airport rally, he pointed to the economy. Taking some contextual liberty with the facts, he said: “Last quarter, our economy grew at the fastest rate in the history of our country, 33.1 percent,” Trump said. “People were shocked. I wasn’t.” Next year, he said, “will be the greatest economic year in the history of our country.” The president touted his foreign policy, opening of the Iron Range, and securing of the country’s borders. About the pandemic:”Our vaccine will eradicate the virus and the pandemic. It will end and quickly restore normal life. That’s what we want. Take us back seven months.”
