WASHINGTON – Two Minnesota drug dealers were in the final batch of the 143 people to whom President Trump has granted presidential pardons or clemency. Trump commuted the sentence of Cassandra Ann Kasowski, 46, of Moorhead. She had served seven years of an 18-year sentence for transporting meth from Texas to North Dakota. Pardoned was John Harold Wall, 63, of Prior Lake, who has completed his five-year prison sentence and four years of supervised release. Trump offered no rationale as to what set Kasowski or Wall apart from thousands of others in prison on drug convictions. He bypassed the usual Justice Department vetting process.
