WASHINGTON – The Trump campaign deputy national press secretary, Courtney Parella, said that strong health precautions are taken for campaign events. Parella made the point in response to a study that blamed COVID outbreaks on President Trump’s so-called “super-spreader” rallies. Parella said that every attendee has their temperature checked, is provided a mask and instructed to wear it, and ensured access to plenty of hand sanitizer. “We also have signs at our events instructing attendees to wear their masks,” Parella said. The issue, she said, was the right of Americans to gather under the First Amendment to hear from the President of the United States.
