FOUNTAIN CITY Wis. – A three-vehicle crash injured two people and blocked Highway 35 between d Fountain City and Czechville for an hour. Deputies said one vehcicle rear-ended another, which was stopped for a left turn, and propelled the vehicle into an oncoming third vehicle. Taken to the Winona hospital with non-life threatening injuries were Heather Grotjahn, 41, of Nelson, and Pamela Tarjeson, 41, of Trempealeau. Alijah Wrycza, 22, of Buffalo City, as unhurt. The accident was about 7:40 a.m. Deputies said that Wrycza’s 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier was stopped in the northbound lane of Highway to turn west onto Bechly Road. Tarjeson’s 2009 Toyota Corolla struck Wrycza’s vehicle from behind. The impact forced Wrycza’s vehicle into the southbound lane, where it struck Grotjahn’s 2019 Chevrolet Blazer almost head-on.
