CALUMET, Mich. –Fire destroyed three side-by-side buildings in the historic downtown, displacing 30 people from upstairs apartments. The fire was reported late Friday and burned into Saturday. Destroyed were a coin self-laundry, a former restaurant and a former tattoo shop – most of a city block. Fire Chief Jeff Kalcich said wind fueled the fire. Tentatively he blamed arson.
