PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. – A failed 2020 Congressional candidate, DerrickVan Orden, crrated a stir at the at Prairie du Chien public library over a Gay Pride Month display in the children’s section. Orden, who recently moved to Prairie du Chien, objected to a teen-age library aide about the display. She called him upset. Earlier he had Van Orden checked out almost every gay-themed books for a week. He then filed a statement of concern about one of the books. The aide he ranted that the book “A Day in the Life of Marlon Brando” presented “incorrect” information. Van Orden, formerly of Hager City, lost a bid for Congress to veteran incumbent Democrat Ron Kind.
