MADISON, Wis. – The most powerful Republican in Wisconsin state politics, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, withdrew subpoenas that had been at the core of GOP-led investigation into the 2020 election. Vos’ decision spelled the formal end of a costly 14-month project that had found no evidence of election fraud. It was a setback for former President Trump, who had encouraged numerous efforts to muddy the water about the integrity of the 2020 presidential election Wisconsin. The now-dead subpoenas had been issued to the Wisconsin Elections Commission and the commission’s administrator, technology director and a commission member.
