WASHINGTON – Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota was named by President Biden to a bipartisan council on threats to homeland security. The White House said the Council will help bolster preparedness and develop responses to cyberthreats including ransom attacks. Governors named to the council:

> Delaware:  John Carney, a Democrat.

> Louisiana: John Bel Edwards, Democrat.

> Michigan: Gretchen Whitmer, Democrat.

> Minnesota: Tim Walz, a Democrat.

> Ohio: Mike DeWine, Republican.

> Oregon: Kate Brown, Democrat.

> Tennessee: Bill Lee, Republican.

> Utah: Spencer Cox, Republican.

> Vermont: Phil Scott, Republican.

> Wyoming: Mark Gordon, Republican.

DeWine and Walz are co-chairs.
