ST. PAUL, Minn. – Governor Tim Walz issued a statement condemning violence in politics in reaction to an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. “Violence has no place in American politics,” Walz said. “Praying for the safety of former President Trump and everyone at his rally in Pennsylvania.” Trump took a bullet through the fleshy upper part of his right ear – the pinna. This was at a rural rally 30 miles north of Pittsburgh. Trump survived. There were multiple shots fired at Trump’s stage from a barn roof 150 yards away. A supporter next to Trump was killed and two others wounded. The shooter himself was brought down fatally by a sharpshooter in Tump’s security detail.
