ST. PAUL, Minn. – Gov. Tim Walz relaxed state coronavirus restrictions to allow outdoor recreational activities, including golf, boating and fishing. Included too was hunting, just in time for the spring turkey season. Included marinas and outdoor shooting ranges. Excluded campgrounds, sporting goods, stores, charter boats and guiding services. Walz said he was sought to balance n the need for people to have recreation and the need for keeping the virus at bay. It was important, Walz said, to stay close to home and to practice social distancing. Also, he said, avoid crowds. Weekend weather in southern Minnesota was forecast in the upper 50s.
