ST. PAUL, Minn. – The executive director of the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Jaylani Hussein, said that justice has been served in the conviction of bombing mastermind Michzel Hari but that white supremacists are still a threat to U.S. Muslim communities. Hari was convicted Tuesday in the 2017 bombing of a Twin Cities mosque. Hussein said terrorist groups, like Hari’s White Rabbits, have been galvanized by President Trump’s rhetoric. He expressed fear that these groups will take out their frustration over the president’s loss in November’s election on Muslim communities across the nation. He urged state and federal law enforcement to heed “the potential for more severe crimes like this happening moving forward.
