WINONA, Minn. – Police were called that someone — probably drunk, berserk for sure — was ramming a front-loader into heavy equipment at the Mankato Avenue rotary construction site. When police arrived, the man had just rammed a water truck. When he crawled off the front-loader, officers asked what he thought he was doing. The man’s one-word reply: “Lawyer.” What’s your name? “Lawyer.” What’s your address: “Lawyer.” And so it went: “Lawyer.” “Lawyer.”  “Lawyer.”  Finally police figured out he was Drew Major Fugelstad, 33, of Winona. They hauled him to jail and drew up papers for stealing the front-loader, hit-and-run driving, drunken driving, refusing to identify himself to officers, and refusing a field sobriety test.

Fugelstad. Incident at Mankato Avenue and Bruski Drive near the Fairfield Inn hotel.
