WINONA, Minn. – Ten police officers from northwest Germany are returning this week for their every-fourth years exchange visit. There will be a welcoming ceremony at City Hall at 11 a.m., Wednesday. Winona Police Sergeant Kevin Kearney, the organizer, said the Germans will visit Winona language classrooms where classrooms where German is taught. The exchange began in 1994. A Winona police contingent goes to Germany also on a four-year cycle.
