WINONA, Minn. – Jazz guitarist Sam Miltich and bassist Chris Bates will explore the intersection of creativity and mental health Saturday at the Winona Arts Center. Their concert, “The Improvised Life,” draws on cultural contributions of famous artists with mental illness. The inspiration is partly through Sam’s own story and original compositions. Bates is a veteran on the Minnesota music scene and holds a McKnight Composer’s Fellowship. Tickets: $20 to $25. Time: 7 p.m. with mingling and coffee at 6 p.m. Place: 228 East Third Street.
