WINONA, Minn. – Twenty-three new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Winona County by the Minnesota Health Department, along with two other cases being transferred in an adjustment from other counties, where they had been incorrectly recorded. The county’s total broke 600, moving to 622 total. The new total, building over six months, came less than 2-1/2 weeks after reaching 300 on August 24 – a doubling that represented an exponential increase. COVID deaths remained at 17.
