WINONA, Minn. – The Winona County Democratic headquarters at the Kensington Hotel was a beehive of phone-banking on Election Day to encourage citizens to get to the polls – especially undecided fence-sitters. Jim Worthley, the patty’s Winona chair, said there were voters “out there” who were undecided or needed encouragement to get to the polls. The office would be running until polls close at 8 p.m., Worthley said:  “The task is simply reminding folks to get to the polls or letting them know why you believe this is an important election.
