WINONA, Minn. – The Winona School District is working to adjust instructional modes to meet new guidelines from the state Education Department, Superintendent Annette Freiheit said. A new elementary school timeline for in-person or hybrid learning is a priority with January 19 as the goal to implement changes, Freiheit said. In a letter to parents, Freiheit said: “We still need community support in order to get there. Please continue to follow the COVID-19 health and safety protocols.” The district has been in distance learning since November 12.
