WINONA, Minn. – The City Council voted to keep the citywide COVID-19 mask order into September at least. The original order expires August 7. The extension includes changes. Originally children 2 and older were required to wear masks in public spaces, but now it’s 10 and older. Police remain authorized to ticket violators with a $100 fine. At the meeting Mayor Mark Peterson said he hasn’t seen much pushback on masking.
