WINONA, Minn. – The Winona High and Middle School student councils will serve their annual Herky Turkey community dinner for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 17. The dinner is for retirees, seniors and community people who otherwise might have a traditional turkey dinner with the usual trimmings. Last year the students served 400 and 450 meals. The students rely on generosity from community organizations and businesses to put on the dinner. The sit-down will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the high school. There also are drive-through and pick-up options. Reservations are required by November 15 at at 507-494-1519 or Herky Turkey Dinner.
