MADISON, Wis.—All flights of the 115th Fighter Wing at Truax Field have been grounded in the wake of an F16 crash that killed the pilot. Colonel Bart Van Roo, the 115th’s commander, said the grounding will continue until he’s sure that operations are safe. Van Roo declined to speculate on the cause of the crash. The crash occurred during scheduled training missions over Michigan’s Upper Peninsula 250 miles from Truax. “Obviously,” Van Roo said, “we are slowly and deliberately looking at all things until we determine that we are safe to fly again.”
