CAMP DOUGLAS, Wis. – Ninety members of the Wisconsin Air National Guard departed for a tactical battlefield support mission in the Middle East. Governor Tony Evers, speaking at the departure ceremony, noted that this was the seventh deployment of the 128th Squadron to the region since 2001. The six-month mission, on the Arabian Peninsula, is with the 9th Air Force. headquarters. The unit will perform air surveillance, aircraft tracking, and overall command and control of coalition operations.
