WINONA, Minn. – After 15 seasons, baseball coach Kyle Poock is retiring from Winona State University. A a national search is planned for his successor. In 2011 Poock coached the Warriors to an NCAA Division II World Series berth. They finished as runners-up. Overall Poock had a 476-415 record, which ranks only behind his predecessor as coach — the legendary Gary Grob. Earlier Poock played under Grob and later was his assistant coach. Poock’s Warriors had 15 Northern Sun tournament bids and four Division II tournament runs.
