WINONA, Minn. – A two-gallery exhibit in a variety of mediums, from more than 100 contemporary U.S. marine artists in the United States, runs through October 3 at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. The exhibit was juried by the American Society of Marine Artists for exhibition in five venues around the country. The common thread of the pieces is that the artists drew inspiration from a personal relationship with water. Included are paintings, watercolors, drawings, sculpture, scrimshaw and mixed media. Among the pieces is “Good Things Come” by Lisa Egeli, who lives by the shores of Chesapeake Bay but spends most of her time traveling the globe beautiful and inspiring places.
