ROCHESTER, Minn. – Four counts of criminal vehicular homicide were filed against a driver of a Jeep that rearended another vehicle, perhaps at 100 mph, in December. The Jeep’s onboard blackbox recorded 107 mph two seconds before the crash, police said. The speed zone was 45 mph. Also, police said, the driver’s blood-alcohol concentration was .15%, nearly twice the state limit. The driver, Matthew Shaver, 28, was seriously hurt. So was the driver of the other car, Luis Rubio Lunar, 27. Lunar’s wife, Joharmi Rubio, 24, died. The accident was late on a Saturday night in the Schmidt Park neighborhood.
