MILLSTON, Wis. – Police laid a spike strip across the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 and stopped a car fleeing the State Patrol at times as fast as 120 mph. The car struck a tree. One man in the wrecked car was taken to the Black River Falls hospital with injuries. The second man was uninjured. This was about 7:15 p.m. near the Jackson-Trempealeau county line 15 miles southeast of Black River Falls. The men were in a gray Chevrolet Camaro. Why they fled police was not immediately clear.
