MADISON, Wis. – A state veterinarian, Paul McGraw, said charges against Brush Ranch Outfitters for running an illegal hunting operation were needed to prevent the spread of deer diseases. Practices at Brush Ranch Outfitters could have had a negative impact on the deer population in western Wisconsin, McGraw said. The ranch allows hunting year round, regardless of state hunting seasons, on its 1,600-acre fenced property for about $700 a day.
