WINONA, Minn. – In less than a month, a free COVID-19 testing site at the Winona Mall has administered more than 2,500 saliva tests. Violet De Stefano, a county emergency management assistant, said the site completed 602 tests the week of October 11, 594 tests the week of the 18th, and 822 tests the week of the 25th. The Mall site will now also accept Wisconsin residents, De Stefano said. She said the test are painless, no nose swab. “A really great mitigation strategy to help combat COVID-19,” she said.
