RUSHFORD VILLAGE, Minn. – The survey team that the National Weather Service assigned to inspect details of the Rushford Village touchdown didn’t complete its report quickly because of the rough terrain. Radar at the time of impact suggested that the tornado touched down west of State Highway 43, several miles southwest of Rushford, and  crossed the highway and then proceeded  farther north-northeastward toward Rushford Village. It disappeared on radar just short of Baker Valley after 2-1/2 miles on the ground. This all was in northern Fillmore County.
