MANTORVILLE, Minn. — Bond was set at $250,000 for a Dodge Center man on a range of child pornography charges. Joseph Lee Carlson, 30, had been arrested two days earlier at the urging of three citizen volunteers who called themselves Midwest Predator Catchers. They had posed online as a 14-year-old boy and confronted Carlson at a Dodge Center park. It was a ruse to catch Carlson in the final stages of setting up a teen rendezvous.
