MINNEAPOLS – Minneapolis-based Xcel Energy sent 270 contract workers to Florida to help with restoration from Hurricane Ian. More may be sent in coming days, Xcel said. The line workers are from Minnesota, Wisconsin. and six other states. Xcel is part of the Edison Electric Institute mutual assistance program.
